Gardaí Have Seized Almost €3,000 Worth Of Suspected Drugs In Bishopstown

It follows multiple seizures in the area yesterday
Gardaí from the Southside Community Engagement team and Anglesea Street carried out patrols and surveillance in the area yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation targeting anti-social behaviour.
At 8.30 yesterday evening Gardaí noticed a man, aged in his early 20, acting suspiciously and was kept under surveillance.
He was stopped and searched on Rossa Avenue as he was found to be in possession of nearly €800 of suspected cocaine.
The man was arrested and brought to Bishopstown Garda Station and has since been released.
A follow-up search was carried out in the area later that evening and Gardaí seized a further €700 of suspected cocaine and €600 of suspected cannabis herb.
Gardaí believe that the suspected drugs were being supplied to house parties in the area and some were already split into small deals.
All of the suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis.
