Gardaí in fresh plea over murder of Cork pensioner

A cold case review is taking place in a bid to trace the killers of a Cork pensioner who found dead in his home seven years ago. The body of 73-year-old Gus Hornibrook of Templeacre Avenue in Gurranabraher was found in a downstairs room of his home 24 hours after he was killed in November 2007. He had been tied up by his attackers and viciously beaten... Nobody has ever been arrested in connection with the killing Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them, in particular they're asking a caller who spent over 5 minutes on the phone with them days after the incident to contact them once again. They believe this person has valuable information relating to the case. AUDIO: Speaking on RedFM Garda superintendant Con Cadogan whose heading up the investigation says a tie which was found at the scene could hold answers to the case.
