Gardaí in North Cork seize almost €17,000 worth of suspected drugs overnight

No arrests have been made but Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry.
Shortly before 10pm, Gardaí from the District Drugs Unit, the Southern Region Dog Unit and Gardaí from Mallow, carried out a search at a house in the Rivervalley area of Mallow.
During the course of the search, a package hidden in waste ground at the rear of the property was found.
The package was later discovered to be €16,000 of suspected cocaine and €800 of suspected cannabis herb .
They'll be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
A weighing scales and small plastic bags were also seized.
