Gardaí investigating after city centre robbery
A sum of cash collected for the Cork Youth Orchestra's annual Christmas fundraiser was robbed from a music store on Oliver Plunkett St yesterday.
Gardaí say they're following a definite line of inquiry after the robbery of a sum of cash collected for the Cork Youth Orchestra's annual Christmas fundraiser.
The incident happened at around half 11 yesterday morning when the culprits stole the cash and some of the tickets for the fundraiser from a music store on Oliver Plunkett Street.
Members of the Orchestra say they'll still going ahead with the performance and Pro Musica have told RedFM News that some tickets are still available for the concert and a small number remain on sale for the matinee show.
It comes after one of the businesses hit by flooding in Bandon town over the weekend was targeted by burglars yesterday morning.
Gardaí are investigating.
