Gardaí Issue Appeal For Drivers To Use Extreme Caution On Cork Roads
Persistent heavy rain looks set to continue until this evening.
A status Yellow rain warning has been issued for the South East of the country including Cork until 9pm tonight.
Met Éireann estimate up to 40mm of rain is expected in some areas, with the risk of spot flooding.
Speaking to RedFM News, Sgt Peter Murphy from Anglesea Street Garda Station says drivers need to take the warnings seriously:
