Gardai issue warning about tampering with gas meters
Gardai and Bord Gais are warning people not to tamper with their gas meters. They've uncovered a scam where people are having their meters bypassed so that the gas they're using isn't being recorded. They say tampering with a meter is illegal and puts them and their neighbours at risk of a gas leak and potential explosion. A man in his 30's has been arrested in Kilmainham in Dublin as part of their investigation and Gardai say over 200 houses have had their meters changed.
