Gardaí in Mayfield have launched an investigation after a Cork man was almost the victim of an online blackmail scam.

She demanded cash in exchange for her discretion and failing to pay her off, she threatened to publish the video online.
Gardaí in Mayfield say it's not the first time they have dealt with a situation like this Leeside and are now liaising with international authorities.
Speaking this morning on the Neil Prendeville Show Gary says the gardaí are dealing with at least five other cases like this Leeside at the moment:
