Gardai Leeside launch investigation into vandalism of defibrillator

It comes following an incident outside of Penneys on Oliver Plunkett Street when some put their fist through the glass of the unit
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a defibrillator was vandalised for a fourth time in the city centre.
Cork Lions Club who have been fundraising to install 12 of the life saving machines around the city say the damage being done to the units are putting lives at risk.
The incident happened in the past week when someone put their fist through the glass of the unit which is located outside Penneys on Oliver Plunkett St.
The machine has had to be moved inside the security room in Penneys and it's feared the extra minutes between it will take to get the defibrillator inside Penneys instead of on the street could mean the difference between life and death for someone.
Speaking to RedFM News Martin Walley of Cork Lions Club says they're determined to get more units into the city and they won't let the destructive acts of a small few deter them.
