Gardai probe serious assault in West Cork
A woman in her 60’s was assaulted at a house in Innishannon
The woman aged in her early 60’s was discovered with a number of stab wounds at around 2pm at a residence in Innishannon.
The alarm was raised and she was rushed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where she is in a critical condition.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination
A man in his 30’s has been arrested in connection with the assault and is currently being detained at Bandon Garda Station
