Gardaí Questioning Man About Sexual Assault When He Was A Scout Leader in City

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 70s for questioning about a sexual assault on a young boy in the 1980's
Detectives arrested the man in the city centre shortly after 8am this morning after they received a complaint that he sexually assaulted the boy at his home in a Cork suburb.
The complainant, who is now a middle aged man, made a formal statement to Gardaí alleging the man abused him when he was a member of the Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland.
The man is currently being questioned at Togher Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
