Gardai Questioning Man After Shots Were Fired At Uniformed Gardai In Cork

The incident happened late last night
Officers were shot at on the Military Road at around 11:40 last night after responding to an incident.
The suspect fled the scene, leading to a car chase lasting almost half an hour along the M8.
The car was eventually stopped at the northbound toll plaza, and the man fired more shots at Gardai.
He was tazered and then arrested before being taken into custody.
No one was injured during the incidents, which have been referred to the Garda watchdog.
