Gardaí to examine equipment aboard yacht in multimillion euro drugs bust

Gardaí are to examine communications equipment seized aboard a yacht carrying €80 million worth of cocaine which was seized off the West Cork coast this week. It's the hoped the equipment will provide information on where the drugs were destined for. The three British crew men on board, aged 70, 35 and 28, remain in Garda custody. They're being questioned at the Bridewell garda station and can be held there for up to seven days, meanwhile it's believed a fourth man is still being questioned by police in Leeds. 40 bales of cocaine were found on board the yacht - it's biggest drugs seizures in the history of the state. AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News Commander Eric Timon of the Naval Service says it's a significant achievement for the joint task force which was behind intercepting the shipment.
