Gardai To Investigate Burger Scandal

The Taoiseach says the Cabinet will be briefed this morning on the latest developments in the horsemeat scandal. Gardaí have now been called in to help in the investigation after the latest discovery of horsemeat in beef - this time in Rangeland Foods in Co Monaghan. Up to three quarters of filler material used at the plant was found to have horse DNA. Speaking on his way into Government Buildings, the Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the issue has to be sorted out because it is a matter of reputation.
