Gardaí warn motorists over driving conditions Leeside
A number of incidents have been reported this afternoon.
A 14 car collision has taken place on the Midleton to Cork city road this afternoon.
The crash happened on the N25 inbound, around 600 metres on the city side of the Cobh interchange.
Emergency services are at the scene but there are no serious injuries reported.
The road is closed at junction three and diversions are in place. Motorists are being asked to use alternative routes.
Elsewhere this afternoon, on the M8 between Junction 12 and 13 the road has been closed southbound at the junction due to five separate incidents.
All traffic is going through Michelstown following the crashes which took place both north and southbound.
It's reported that the South Ring Road has been cleared following an incident at Bloomfield Junction 9.
Gardaí are advising motorists to take extreme care due to icy conditions and hail showers which are creating slippery conditions.
