Gay Byrne - A Catalyst For Change In Ireland
The late Gay Byrne has been described as a catalyst for change in Ireland.
The 85-year-old passed away after a long illness and tributes have been pouring in for the veteran broadcaster.
His career spanned decades, during which he launched the Late Late Show and hosted it for 37 years.
Speaking to RedFM News UCC broadcast historian Dr Finola Doyle O’Neill says as well as his well known role on the Late Late Show, his radio career was equally as successful:
