Gerald Griffin Street Resurfacing to get underway

Re-surfacing works are to get underway on Gerald Griffin Street this week.

The road was dug up as part of the Irish Water Mains Rehabilitation Project which began earlier this year.

However the Evening Echo reports that locals have complained about the works which has seen the removal of all road markings and has led to the blockage of some storm drains.

Irish Water says the final phase of works will be carried out on the street this week after the new water-main was installed.
