'Get home, and stay home' say government officials as blizzard makes it way towards Cork

RedFM News has learned that the army is being drafted in to help emergency services in Cork tomorrow when the blizzard hits. They'll be on hand to assist gardaí and the HSE.
The Chair of the National Emergency Coordination Group has warned people that it would be "suicidal" to drive during the red weather alert tomorrow.
Munster and Leinster will essentially be on lockdown from 4pm until midday on Friday, with no schools or colleges open and public transport suspended.
Both UCC and CIT are closed tomorrow and Friday and all primary and secondary schools are also closed.
People are being advised to stay indoors during the blizzard due to the risk of becoming disorientated and the risk of falling.
