Good Shepherd Cork says urgent assistance is needed to stem homelessness

Charity warns the current epidemic of child homelessness is the next adult homelessness crisis in waiting
The current epidemic of child homelessness is the next adult homelessness crisis in waiting.
That's the warning from Good Shepherd Cork which have been working with women and children who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Cork for the past 42 years.
The charity also runs the emergency shelter Edel House in the city which last year was forced to turn away 375 women and 281 children due to the pressure on their services.
Speaking to RedFM News Kate Longmate of Good Shepherd Cork says children who have experienced homelessness are more likely to become homeless as an adult
