Google maps contributing to traffic gridlock on one of Cork's most famous streets

Blarney Street is Ireland's longest residential streets, and local's are calling for it to be changed to a one way system
Lorry drivers using the Google maps app to reach their destination are unaware of how narrow the street is, and regularly get stuck at the bottom of the road resulting in major traffic problems in the area.
Many residents have reported damage to their homes as lorries have to reverse back up the hill, and say they feel trapped in their own homes because of traffic issues.
Speaking to RedFM News City Councillor Tomas Gould says there has been a huge increase in the volume of traffic in the area over the past few years.
