Government Accused Of Ignoring Childcare Workers

It's been claimed that some staff in the sector in Cork can earn less than €10 euro hour
Childcare workers in Cork say they're being ignored by the government.
Five bus loads travelled to the Dáil during the week to take part in a national protest where the government were called on to invest in the sector.
The Association of Childhood Professionals says because the services need to be of a high quality staff are effectively fronting the cost through low wages as the government isn't providing adequate funding.
The organisation claims some staff in the sector can earn less than €10 euro hour and as a result people are leaving the sector.
Speaking to RedFM News chairperson of the ACP Marion Quinn says the bottom line is that the delivery of services will be affected:
