Government Criticised Over Plans For Water Charges
Households are facing a flat fee of 100 euro when water charges come into effect. The Government is being criticised after it emerged today that the standing charge would be applicable before any metering takes place. The average bill for a household is now expected to be around 300 euro a year, with a third of that used to cover the metering, supply and customer service costs.
