Government Urged To Consider Banning The Dissident Republican Group Saoradh

Up to 20 members of the Republican group marched up Bandon Road in Cork on Easter Sunday in military uniforms


 

Senator Michael McDowell says they should be proscribed, making them an illegal grouping.

It follows widespread anger at a number of 'paramilitary style ' parades in Cork and Dublin over the weekend by dissident groups.

Saoradh say the march in Cork on Easter Sunday to commemorate the anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising could not be cancelled. 

The republican group were criticised after up to 20 members marched up Bandon Road on Easter Sunday in military uniforms just days after the killing of Lyra McKee.
