Government Urged To Step-Up And Stop The Brain Drain Of Irish Nurses To Britain

The INMO says UK hospitals are likely to increase efforts to hire Irish-trained nurses after Brexit
They say migration controls make recruitment more difficult across the EU.
The union has warned that some front line staff at Cork University Hospital are on the verge of burn-out and say there are 130 nursing post vacancies between CUH and the Maternity Hospital.
General Secretary Phil Ní Sheaghdha says a survey of student nurses this summer shows 7 in 10 have already been offered jobs overseas - while we don't have jobs to offer them here:
