GRA opposes plan to link speeding fines to salary

The Garda Representative Association has shot down plans being considered by the Road Safety Authority to link fines to the driver’s salary.

The RSA says it’s considering a plan where a person earning 50 thousand euro would be fined as much as a thousand euro for speeding.

But the GRA says it’s not the way to improve road safety.
