Amarenco Solar has been given the go ahead to build a new solar farm in Cork.
The local authority has granted planning permission for 22,200 photo voltaic panels in Whitechurch.
40 people will be employed during the construction phase.
The company says it now has 6 plants with total capacity of 30 Mega Watts with full planning approval in Cork and Waterford.
