Group Campaigning For Insurance Reform Says State Needs To Protect People From Dual Pricing

It comes after the decision by the British competition watchdog to outlaw the practice in the UK
A Central Bank report found differential pricing was commonly used by insurers in Ireland.
Peter Boland, director of the Alliance for Insurance Reform, says Ireland should introduce a similar ban like the UK did:
"We would a move like that in Ireland. Clearly the insurance industry is a very powerful, very well resourced, industry; and particularly in a situation where people are legally obliged to have insurance, it's up to the state to protect those people."
