Health Minister calls for paln to tackle overcrowding crisis

Simon Harris says there needs to be a plan in place so we don't see a return of the trolley crisis once the current problems are solved.
Minister Harris is meeting with members of the emergency department taskforce today, after last Wednesday saw a record high of 677 people waiting on a bed.
Today, 555 people are on trolleys in hospitals around the country.
That figure stands at at 74 in Cork. CUH is the second most overcrowded in the country with 45 patients on trolleys while 18 await for a bed in the Mercy University Hospital and a further 11 in Bantry General Hospital.
The Health Minister says there's been some progress but the figure is still unacceptably high.
