Traders in Kinsale say the heatwave is providing a welcome boost to the local economy this week

Record high temperatures are attracting tourists from home and abroad to the seaside town of Kinsale where hotels, restaurants, pubs and shops are already busy catering to hundreds of customers a day. 

Met Éireann say the good weather is to continue up to the weekend, which is welcome news to some traders in the town who do most of their business in the summer months. 

Speaking to RedFM News Peter and Rasa Deasy of Long Quay House Guesthouse along with Clare Atkinson of Sundays Ice Cream bar say the town has plenty to offer tourists
