Heatwave leads to rise in sea based activities Leeside
Unusual water based activities are on the increase Leeside as a result of the recent heatwave.
That's according to Cork based activity provider 'Atlantic Offshore Adventures' who say the fine weather has encouraged locals and visitors to take to the Cork coastline.
Among the activities that have grown in popularity are paddle boarding, kayaking and 'coasteering' which involves the exploration of the rocky coastline.

Traders based in seaside towns have echoed this sentiment and say the recent heatwave has provided a boost to the local economy.
Speaking to RedFM News Jack Kingston of Atlantic Offshore Adventures says the fine weather has encouraged people to try new water based activities which is resulting in repeat visitors:
