Heavy Rain Overnight Led To Flooding Across Cork
Park Road in Mallow remains closed after this mornings high tide at 6am
Met Eireann had issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Cork and Kerry with up to 50 millimetres of rain falling in the worst-affected areas.
Fire Control confirmed to RedFM News in the past hour that they responded to a number of flood call outs last night at Dromohane in Mallow, in Bandon, on the Blarney Road and at Ballineen near Dunmanway
This morning gardai say the Park Road in Mallow remains closed after this mornings high tide at 6am
The County Council have erected barriers in Fermoy in anticipation of high tide today and tomorrow and Cobh Gardai say some flooding has been reported at the back of the island but the main routes are all passable
Anglesea Street say there are no difficulties in the city this morning but roads are greasy after last night's rain so some care is advised
