Heineken says events centre will bring major jobs boost

Heineken Ireland says it's proposal for a €50 million events centre in the city will bring a major jobs boost. The plan is part of a larger regeneration project at the former Beamish and Crawford Brewery. The multi-purpose centre will seat 6,000 people and create 1,200 jobs on completion. The government has confirmed funding for an events centre for Cork and the city council is examining a number of proposals.
