HIQA finds outstanding issues with Cope Foundation centre in Cork

It follows an unannounced inspection.

A designated centre for people with disabilities operated by the Cope Foundation in Cork was the subject of an unannounced inspection by HIQA at the end of March.

Inspectors found that residents were not receiving a service that provided for their privacy and dignity or allowed opportunities for them to achieve their full potential.

There were 36 residents at the centre on the inspection date.
