Holidaymakers warned to lock up their homes
Cork holidaymakers are being warned to lock up their homes securely when away. The Crime Victims Helpline is issuing a caution as people plan their summer breaks. The organisation says that this is a busy time of the year for burglars who take advantage of unoccupied homes. Anyone who has been the victim of a crime is asked to contact their local garda station immediately. They can also get support from The Crime Victims Helpline on FREE PHONE 116 006. The number for texts is 085 1337711. Speaking to Cork's RedFM Service Co-ordinator Maeve Ryan has these tips to protect your home and belongings: (Click above for audio)
