Homeless families struggling in East Cork

Some families face a 45 minute journey every evening to try to find a bed for the night.
That's according to local councillors who say there is no provision for rural families seeking emergency accommodation in the area
Families from Youghal and Midleton say they are having difficulty finding a place to stay because they arrive in the city late at night.
Local representatives are calling on the county council to secure a vacant property, similar to the facility in Cork Simon, in order to facilitate families who may find themselves homeless.
Speaking to RedFM news Youghal Cllr Mary Linehan Foley says provision needs to be made for these families.
