Homeless Figures in Cork & Kerry Highest Since 2015

Cork and Kerry are experiencing the highest number of families living in emergency accommodation since January 2015.
66 families were in emergency accommodation last month, including 76 children.
Cork Simon says the figures show that the number of people relying on their services is continuing to rise despite the Government's promise on the provision of housing through the Re-Building Ireland Programme.
195 new housing units have been provided in Cork county so far this year and 139 came on stream in the city last week but Cork Simon says this is simply not enough.
Paul Sheehan from Cork Simon told RedFM News he's worried about how their service will cope with the added pressure that winter brings:
