It comes following a report released by Cork Simon highlighting the challenges homeless people face when trying to secure accomodation
Cork Simon has released a report highlighting the barriers facing homeless people trying to securing private rented accommodation.
The housing charity says their service users are being left in limbo as the Government has failed to carry out a review of the private rental market.
An average of 18 people a night are sleeping on the streets of the city.
23 year old James Brady had been homeless for nearly three months before he managed to turn his life around by beating his drug and alcohol addiction and securing a place on a course.
However speaking to RedFM News James says he's finding it difficult to find a landlord who will accept rent allowance.
