Hopes that vacancy rates on Patrick St will be reduced

The current rate is nineteen per cent.
It's hoped vacancy rates on Patrick St will be significantly reduced in the next six months.
There's currently a 19% vacancy rate on the city's main street however a number of deals are currently in the pipeline which look set to reinvigorate the city centre.
Plans are in place to revamp Merchants Quay while the former Moderne complex is currently undergoing a revamp for a new tenant.
Laurence Owens of the Cork Business Association has been telling RedFM News why footfall on Patrick St should increase over the coming months despite the current vacancy rate.
