Hosepipe ban 'likely', says Irish Water

Irish Water says it's 'likely' that a hosepipe ban will be needed if the dry spell continues.
Demand in the Greater Dublin Area reached record levels at the weekend, with the utility claiming 16 of its 900 systems are in drought.
Met Eireann is forecasting showers this week before some heavier spells of rain at the weekend in some areas.
Yvonne Harris from Irish Water says they're continuing to monitor the supplies.
"Over the next week or so we will gather the data required, we will look at geographical data, and our technical team will then build up a portfolio.
"If the data and the evidence and criteria is met for the water conservation ban, it is likely we will go there."
