Hosepipe ban set to be introduced

It looks like a hosepipe ban is on the cards across the country.
Irish Water says it's 'increasingly likely' it'll have to bring it in, as demand for water soars by 20 per cent and the drought gets worse.
16 of the utility's drinking water schemes are in drought and 38 are at risk of going into drought because of the warm weather.
Irish Water's Yvonne Harris says there was a record spike in demand in Dublin on Saturday, but it's happening nationwide.
"In the dry weather unfortunately our own behaviour with regard to water usage changes quite dramatically and we use even more water than we had been.
"IN the case of last Saturday where it was a beautiful day in the greater Dublin area there was an additional 30 million litres of water used.
"That's the equivalent of the daily usage of an extra 200,000 people in the greater Dublin area.
"We've seen this trend throughout the country."
