Hospital Consultants Will Vote On Possible Strike Action Next Month
That's unless discussions to address ongoing recruitment issues get under way
Yesterday the INMO released a statement saying Cork's health services had plunged into crisis, with recruitment and retention just one of the many problems.
Throughout the country, more than 500 consultancy posts remain unfilled.
The Irish Medical Organisation says this is adding to hospital waiting lists, and warns that front line care could be impacted if the issue's not resolved.
