House Prices Set To Rise Further
House prices are set to rise by 8% this year, according to a new report.
The Society of Chartered Surveyors also predicts an 8 per cent rise in rents, despite the 4% rent caps in place in major cities.
It's predicting private landlords will continue to leave the industry.
Spokesperson for the Society, John O'Sullivan, says the biggest price hikes will be for starter homes:
