Housing Minister: Home-Ownership Vital Part Of Tackling Housing Crisis

Darragh O'Brien says proposals to tackle the issue of investment funds bulk-buying family homes will come before Cabinet next week
He says it's crucial to strike a balance between investment in the housing market - and competition for first time buyers:
"Home-ownership has got to be central to tackling the housing crisis because there are so many people out there, who are paying rent at exorbitant rates, are living with their folks into their 30s, and saving every cent, who have been left behind. They aspire towards owning a home and that aspiration should be supported."
