Housing Minister responds to McKinnen Review Group's report into the merging of Cork councils

Simon Coveney says Cork has to do something different and not adhere to the status quo in order to progress success in the region
He made the comments at the launch of the McKinnen Review Group's report into local government in Cork which recommends the scrapping of plans to merge Cork City and County council and a city boundary extension.
However not everyone welcomed the report and the County Mayor has expressed his reservations about the extent of the boundary extension.
