Housing Minister says he hopes a decision will be made on a request for an additional €12 million in state funding for Cork's new Events Centre over the Summer

Speculation is mounting about the future of the project which has been delayed after a review of design and costings
BAM contractors say an extra €12 million in public funding is needed to complete the highly anticipated venue.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Cork's Simon Coveney says additional funding will be needed to ensure the success of the project.
