Housing Minister to expand areas availing of rent caps
The Housing Minister says rent caps could be introduced in 15 new areas as soon as possible.
Simon Coveney says the measures will be expanded as soon as there is enough hard data to confirm their eligibility.
Cork was one of five cities declared 'rent pressure zones' before Christmas, after legislation was pushed through the Dáil.
This evening the Minister says many other areas could have rent caps introduced in the coming weeks:
