The Housing Minister has been urged to introduce legislation to protect tenants of an apartment block in Cork.
Concerns come as the Residential Tenancy Board has ruled that the owners of the building are entitled to evict the people living in the building to refurbish the property.
It's said that 20 tenants at the Leeside Apartments in Cork city were facing eviction after the RTB ruled that the notice to quit on one tenant was valid.
Hundreds of people have come out against the planned evictions of over 20 families
A Protest over Cork apartment evictions is to be held this weekend.
