HSE Confirms It Will Lodge Planning For New Helipad At Cork University Hospital

The €1.8 million project has been delayed for 15 years after the original helipad was removed during the redevelopment of the hospital's emergency department.

The new helipad will be suitable for landings by helicopters operated by the Irish Air Corps and Coast Guard.

Patients have been flown into Bishopstown's GAA pitches and transferred to CUH by ambulance in recent years.
