HSE Ensures That Historical Documents Are Safe Following Flood

The HSE has moved to allay fears that historical documents in the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry Office in Cork have been damaged due to flooding in the building.
They have released a statement to say all of the historical registers are housed in a secure records room, which was not affected by the water damage.
The office will remain closed all day today, to allow dehumidifiers to work in the damaged areas.
The HSE has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the closure and say the office is due to re-open on Thursday as normal.
