HSE Has Decrypted 4 Of Every 5 Of Its Computer Servers Following May's Cyber Attack

80 per cent of them are now unlocked - compared to 70 per cent last week

79 per cent of its computer devices, such as laptops, are also now available again.

But chief operations officer, Anne O'Connor, says there are still lots of problems to fix after the ransomware attack:

"Our email system, whilst it's back, it's not working in the way that it was fully yet. Many of our systems, as I said, they're back but they're not necessarily working as they were before or they're not interfacing with other systems in the same way. We know now that we're into a slower phase where it'll take a bit longer. Some of the issues that we're trying to address and some of our systems are tricky technical issues. So whilst the majority of systems are back, we expect to have a number of weeks before we have all of our systems back."
