HSE Has Received Demand For Money After Major Cyber Attack

The Executive says the ransom won't be paid
The HSE is liaising with gardai and the National Cyber Security Centre.
HSE Chief Operations Officer, Anne O'Connor, says in some cases they are resorting to using paper records as they work to cope with the disruption:
"It'll vary side by side, depending on the systems. We've had to revert to manual workaround. We're back to using paper in many cases, and that will slow things down. However, we will do everything we can. And as I've said, we will advise people if their appointment is cancelled. Otherwise they should turn up, but they may have to bear with us in terms of those appointments taking a bit longer."
